Fantastic....keep us posted...and you're right...there are some who have similar thoughts as your friend, but too scared to come forward or talk about their doubts...
Great job!
Peace

so tonight after the meeting, this brother whome i've grown up with invited me to eat.
he had come almost an hour late to the meeting and looked kind of down and a bit depressed.
i agreed to go eat.. there was very little talking at first.

Jimmy Cliff was down in the Florida last year performing...he was on a tour...also went to Texas.
His voice is still great! I'm also a fan of "dub" and "ska" music...

as a born in, or in at a very young age, what were your worst memories as a young jw child?.
i remember not being allowed to go to sleep in the meetings when i was tired.
not being allowed to do lots of things at school other kids could do.
- It was ok for "wordly" children to come to my home, but I couldn't go anywhere with them
- Schoolmates jeering me when they see me on weekends all dressed up for FS...I could hear the cartoon/TV on while at the door
- Couldn't eat anything from classmates from their birthday celebrations....the food was "sacrificed to Satan"
- Tired, having lots of homework and still had to go meetings...had to come home from meetings and get school work done...thus always been exhausted
- Trying to be a "good" JW child because parents liked to brag & compare kids
- Giving up my room for the C/O when they came into town...had to sleep on the sofa.
...these were horrible days for me...I'm grateful for this website now that I know better.
reading the recent thread about the young lady who just ended her life got me thinking that maybe there could be a thread that is easily accessible to anyone who may need help due to homelessness from losing their families and friends to shunning.
too often i hear stories about people who have lost everything, and have no where to go, and at the same time having no type of support system.
unfortunately there are some who are so lost that they feel that there are no options besides taking their own life.. i think that a website that matches people in need to others who can help in some way would be a great idea.

This is a great gesture! As time goes on (especially with younger people) who are coming to grips with the real truth about the WTBS, it's going to be very difficult for some...even to the point of having suicidal thoughts...
I'm not in a position to host anyone, because I only have a room, but if anyone needs someone to talk to, or clothing, basic necessities, I'll try to chip in.

Reggae Music:
1. Bob Marley
2. Peter Tosh
3. Gregory Isaacs
4. Dennis Brown
5. Alton Ellis
There are a few songs that are covers from other genres which they've done pretty well...for example...I like the reggae riddim:

My reggae collection is quite extensive! I also had the oppurtunity to see several reggae singers...

regular pioneer!.
officially announced!
i'm very happy!
This is great news!!!
i'm male, in my early twenties, and i don't know how to cook.
if one day i blow my cover i will have to move out and fend for myself.
my question is what frozen meals or quick fix meals do you recommend for a single guy?
I'm also a male & young...moved out of my parents a couple months now....I'm not a fan of cooking, but learnt a few things from friends of mine and also a buddy of mine who's a professional chef...I also had great wordly friends who'd invite me for dinner...I usually eat fruits for breakfast.

i'm so relieved not having to go to another convention.
i haven't been to one in two,three years,lost track.
so happy not having to sit for all those hours on an uncomfortable chair, listening to boring talks.. i am thrilled not having to clean public toilets in my best clothes.
All of you missing such fine spiritual refreshment and insight!?!?!?!
These conventions are a joke....same thing every year....and ofcourse, the folks at the Khall say "this is the best convention ever & it could be the last one before the Big A"....
I only went one of the three days just for the heck of it and because I knew a few people that would be there and would be reporting back to my parents...
